First Word of the day-Efface

So this is how my word of the day is going to work: first, I'll give the pronunciation of the word; second, I'll give the definition of the word in my own words; lastly, I'll use the word in a sentence.

Efface- /if face/
To remove completely by rubbing out or striking out; to destroy
"I hope to efface my poor writing with this blog."

  1. I like the idea of this blog. Good for all of us non-native speakers of the English language out there.
And by the way, if I may inquire, is your name a reference to the book Fight Club perchance?

Yes it is. I just used whatever name came to me first, but Robert Paulson is too over used, so I mixed it up a bit :P
